AkzoNobel’s International brand, a leader in wind energy coatings, aimed to solidify its position within the industry. Facing strong competition and a recent communication gap, they needed a renewed strategic focus to maintain their leadership. They partnered with us to develop a comprehensive campaign strategy that showcased their unmatched expertise in coatings for all parts of a wind turbine, from blades to foundations.

We developed a concept titled, “Connecting the dots”, illustrating AkzoNobel’s comprehensive industry overview and ability to identify patterns and connections.

This idea was translated into a clear value proposition and a robust messaging framework highlighting their expertise, product and service quality, and commitment to raising industry standards. 

It also came to life through striking design elements such as bird’s eye-view photography showcasing wind energy assets in various conditions vouched for the reliability of their offerings. The signature brand colours made the concept complete. All campaign elements were compiled into a detailed style guide, and we conducted an inter-agency meeting to ensure a smooth handover and consistent implementation across all channels.

By emphasising AkzoNobel’s comprehensive solutions and deep industry expertise, we increased brand awareness and positioned them as a trusted partner in the wind energy market. This campaign not only reinforced AkzoNobel’s market leadership but also educated their audience on the significant benefits and performance of their product portfolio, driving sustainable growth in the wind energy sector.
